Drehli Robnik was born in Vienna, 1967. He is an external lecturer in film theory and analysis at University of Vienna (Dept. of Theater, Film and Media Studies; Dept. of History) where he does research for a PhD thesis on “The blockbuster as cultural memory (Spielberg and Kracauer)” at University of Amsterdam, Dept. for Film and TV Studies. He works with the “Cinema Europe” research group at University of Amsterdam, ASCA. He also works as a film critic, disc-jockey and edutainer. He currently lives in Amsterdam/Oud-Zuid and Vienna/Erdberg.
