Lila Kitaeff

Lila Kitaeff is a media activist and a freelance writer and videographer. She has worked with independent media centers in Minneapolis, Seattle, and Chiapas, Mexico. She has most recently published articles in Utne Magazine and the Twin Cities’ Free Press, and has worked on several short documentaries for indymedia’s Newsreal. She attended Macalester College, earning a degree in cultural studies, with a focus on media and film analysis. Lila just returned from seven months traveling in Mexico and Central America, during which she worked as an assistant on an independent documentary about the Mexican teachers movement (still in progress). She currently lives in Seattle, Washington.
