Pavel Skopal

Pavel Skopal teaches at the department of Film and Audio-Visual Culture, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University Brno, Czech Republic. He is currently finishing a PhD thesis which examines the way Hollywood movies on DVDs try to address its audiences. His research and teaching interests are: contemporary Hollywood cinema – and its relation to European cinema; reception studies; history of film theories.
