Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth and its skeptics: a case of environmental nostalgia
Collaborations: Robin Murray and Joe Heumann work together on filmic and ecocritical readings of mainstream genre and edge films. They are currently revising a book on popular film and the environment for SUNY Press and are drafting a work focused on ecology and the western film.
Robin Murray is a Professor of English at Eastern Illinois University. Her work in ecocritical studies began during her graduate work and was initially integrated into literary study, especially in relation to works by American women regionalists. She has been immersed in film studies for the past five years but has maintained her ecocritical edge.
