Wing Shan Ho

Wing Shan Ho earned her doctoral degree in East Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of Oregon. She is currently a Chinese lecturer at the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her research interests cover Chinese cinema and television, nation and subjectivity, state censorship, Chinese identity, cultural studies, and gender studies. Her dissertation examines various key contemporary state-sponsored and criticized films as well as television dramas with an emphasis on proliferations and controls of emergent forms of subjectivity.
