Lindiwe Dovey

Lindiwe Dovey is senior lecturer in African film and performance arts at SOAS, University of London, and the co-founding director of Film Africa, London’s African film festival (www.filmafrica.org.uk), and founding director of the Cambridge African film festival. She is the author of the prize-winning African Film and Literature: Adapting Violence to the Screen (2009), and is currently the recipient of a Philip Leverhulme Prize which is allowing her to complete a book about film festivals and African film, to be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2015.
