Naida García-Crespo

Naida García-Crespo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Currently she is a PhD candidate in the English department at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Her academic interests include early cinema history, the Caribbean region, and post-colonialism. Her current research focuses on issues of nation-building and nationalism in Puerto Rican cinema.
