Jenny Lapekas

Jenny Lapekas teaches composition at Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. Lapekas received her Master of Arts in English from Kutztown University in 2013 and has also applied for her Ph.D. in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Kansas. Her work also focuses largely on menstrual literacy, film and media studies, depictions of black women, and gynocentric literature.

She has presented her work at numerous conferences, including “Narratives of Travel & Navigation: English by Water, Air, Land, and Imagination” at the 2011 Pennsylvania College English Association Conference in Erie, Pennsylvania and “Living by the Code: an Exploration of Morality and Ethics” at the 2013 University of Indiana’s English Graduate Organization’s Interdisciplinary Conference in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
