Antonio Sánchez-Escalonilla

Antonio Sánchez-Escalonilla is Associate Professor of Script Writing and Director of the Master in Narrative Studies of Visual Artes at University Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid (Spain). He is the author of Fantasía de Aventuras. Claves creativas en novela y cine (Ariel, Barcelona 2001) (Adventure Fantasy. Creative Keys for Novel and Film) and Estrategias de guion cinematográfico (Ariel, Barcelona 2009) (Strategies for the Film Script). He has published articles on film and U.S. Politics in the Journal of Popular Film and Television and Literary Interpretation Theory. Other publications deal with the depiction of the United States Presidency in contemporary films, the treatment of social panic after 9/11 and 3/11 in the United States and Spain, and the portrayal of social and economic crises in cinema. He teaches courses on Scriptwriting, Visual Narrative, and the Adventure Genre.
