Kamila Kuc

Kamila Kuc (www.kamilakuc.com) holds a Ph.D. in the history of Polish avant-garde film from Birkbeck College (University of London, 2012). Her most recent publication, The Struggle for Form: Perspectives on Polish Avant-Garde Film 1916–1989 (Columbia University Press, 2014), co-edited with Michael O’Pray, is the first English-language comprehensive account of the Polish avant-garde film from its beginnings in the early decades of the last century to the collapse of communism in 1989.

Kuc is an Associate Lecturer in New Media at Goldsmiths, University of London, as well as a Visiting Lecturer in art and film history and theory at the University of Brighton and Kingston, where she is completing her MFA in Experimental Filmmaking.

Her film In the Same Room (2014) will be screened as part of the Main Competition at this year's Alternative Film/Video Festival, Belgrade and will feature in the Experiments in Cinema Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2015. (http://www.experimentsincinema.org)
