Robert Alpert

Robert Alpert has studied both movies and law, receiving an MFA from Columbia and a JD from NYU. He then practiced for many years as an intellectual property attorney, while occasionally teaching and writing on movies. Having recently retired from law, he now teaches movies and media, with a focus on cultural myths, AI and the digital medium, at Fordham University and Hunter College in NYC. He has also written for various publications, including Jump Cut, CineAction, and Senses of Cinema.
