David Zeglen

David Zeglen is a PhD student in the Cultural Studies program at George Mason University.

His research focuses on post-Cold War dictatorships, visual culture and digital media, and celebrity politics. David also has a chapter on North Korean celebrity culture in an anthology on celebrity couples published by Bloomsbury, available now. He is currently co-editing a special edition of Celebrity Studies with Neil Ewen called “National Populists: Right-wing Celebrity Politicians in Contemporary Europe.”

David is also a member of the Mason Coalition of Academic Labor (MCAL), a labor organization representing the contingent faculty of GMU.
