Musical interruptions and global connections: making meaning with Bollywood music far from home
Neha Kamdar is a PhD candidate at the Screen Cultures Program at Northwestern University. She is working towards a dissertation on the body and affect in British-south Asian cinema. Her other areas of interest include early cinema (specifically early Indian cinema), postcolonial/diasporic/minor cinemas, ethnographic film, and bodies and physical spaces in film.
