Dennis Broe
Dennis Broe is a novelist and journalist who has taught at The Sorbonne, Paris X Nanterre, Rutgers and Long Island University. His work appears in LA Progressive, People’s World and Monthly Review Online in the U.S. where he is also the Paris correspondent for Arts Express on the Pacifica Network. He is an associate editor at Culture Matters in Britain and a TV critic for the British daily Morning Star where his column is titled “Decoding Network TV.” His collected work can be found at “Cultural Politics For Those Who Care” on Substack and his podcast with Cultural Studies scholar Toby Miller is Culture and Barbarism. He is also the author of 5 Mystery Thrillers on LA in the ‘40s and ‘50s. The current novel, The Dark Ages, is about the second coming of HUAC to Hollywood in 1951 and he is currently working on a 6th novel in the series titled Pornocopia, about the corporatization of gambling and the porn industry in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
